Aveiro, Portugal – January 2026 – In November 2025, young people and youth workers from Greece, Italy, Luxembourg and Portugal met in Viterbo, Italy, for the first international mobility of the RE.W.I.N.D. WOMEN Erasmus+ project. Hosted by the project coordinator L’Isola che c’è, this training week marked a key starting point for the project, bringing together all partners to explore gender stereotypes and equality through creative, participatory and experiential methods. The mobility also introduced the EDU-LARP methodology, laying the foundations for the game that participants have continued to develop in the months that followed.
Following the mobility, over the past months, a total of four workshops have been carried out, combining local in-person sessions and international online meetings, ensuring both continuity of learning and strong collaboration between partners.
Two of these workshops were held in person in Portugal, exclusively with the Portuguese participants, creating a safe and focused space for exploration, reflection and character work. In parallel, two online workshops brought together participants and partners from all involved countries, under the guidance of the project coordinators, strengthening the shared vision and coherence of the LARP experience being built.

The workshops took place on December 8th, December 15th and January 26th, marking important milestones in the project timeline.
These sessions were dedicated to character design, character study, and to developing a deeper understanding of the EDU-LARP game mechanics, narrative structure and objectives. Participants worked on refining their fictional characters, exploring motivations, relationships and social dynamics connected to gender stereotypes — particularly in the context of women and sport, which is the central theme of the final LARP.

Through a mix of creative exercises, guided discussions and collaborative work, participants continued to translate theoretical reflections on gender equality into embodied, experiential learning. This ongoing process has allowed the group to strengthen both individual characters and the collective story, ensuring that the final LARP will be impactful, coherent and meaningful.

As the project progresses, these workshops play a crucial role in maintaining engagement, fostering intercultural dialogue and ensuring that all partners contribute actively to the construction of a shared educational tool. The RE.W.I.N.D. WOMEN journey continues, building step by step toward a final LARP experience that challenges stereotypes, amplifies women’s voices and promotes equality through creativity and participation.
